Elder Friendly Certification
We Help Brevard wants to make sure that our senior citizens get the best possible service and care available in Brevard County when they reach out to the business community.
We provide Elder Friendly Certification to community businesses and act as a referral source for the seniors and their families who contact us. Our goal is to refer clients to businesses that care about their needs as much as we do. In order to obtain an Elder Friendly Certification each business must undergo a screening process which includes:
Conducting personal interviews with the company's ownership/management
Validating city, county, and state licensure requirements
Reviewing company history with the Chamber of Commerce and Better Business Bureau
Verfying that businesses have current liability and Worker's Compensation insurance.
Reviewing Brevard County civil, criminal, and court databases
In addition to this certification process, we are providing elder friendly workshops and training to our businesses that will:
Increase the employee's ability to understand distinctive differences when working with seniors
Assist employees in identifying possible signs of self-neglect or self-abuse
